| 中文描述 | 由嗜中性球或嗜酸性球細胞質中的包含體（桑椹體）診斷。白血球減少症和血小板減少症是其特徵。原因是親吞嗜細胞邊蟲；傳染和培養的過程並不清楚。症狀在小於三歲的馬較不嚴重，而症狀通常會持續1-2週。報告來自美國許多州，歐洲以及南美洲；在加州最常見，特別是在秋末，冬季和春季。 |

| 英文描述 | Diagnosed by inclusion bodies (morulae) in the cytoplasm of neutrophils or eosinophils. Leukopenia and thrombocytopenia are characteristic. Due to ANAPLASMA PHAGOCYTOPHILA; the mode of transmission and incubation period are not known. Signs are less severe in horses <3 years old and signs generally last 1-2 weeks. Reported from several states in the U.S. and in Europe and South America; most common in California, particularly in late fall, winter, and spring. |
